"Capturing Wisdom" represents the dichotomy between captivity and freedom. The majestic owl, a symbol of wisdom, is depicted trapped within a golden cage, highlighting the contrast between its innate intelligence and the constraints of confinement. Meanwhile, the snail on the outside embodies the virtues of patience and perseverance that the owl also possesses. Finally, the golden wren perched atop the cage represents the joy and happiness that can only be found in a state of liberation. Ultimately, the painting suggests that the owl's true wisdom and fulfilment lie in its ability to break free from the gilded prison and soar into the open sky.
